The San José State Women’s Water Polo team has not only showcased outstanding excellence in the pool but has also earned the distinction of securing the top team cumulative grade-point average in the country, with an impressive 3.74 GPA as recognized by the Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC).
San José State led the nation with a 3.74 GPA for the year, outshining competitors such as Pomona Pitzer and Stanford, who tied for second at 3.72. The team’s unwavering commitment to academic success is further underscored by a program-record 16 Spartans who were individually acknowledged for their achievements in the classroom, earning a place on the ACWPC All-Academic teams.
In light of this remarkable success and with the aim of encouraging future Spartans to pursue academic excellence, the Women’s Water Polo team is initiating a fundraising campaign focused on scholarships. These scholarships will empower student-athletes to pursue their educational goals, fostering a culture of achievement and dedication both in and out of the pool.
All funds raised through this dedicated 1857 Minutes of Giving page will be directed towards providing scholarships specifically for the Women’s Water Polo team. By contributing, you are not only recognizing and rewarding the current team's dedication to academics but also creating opportunities for future Spartans to excel academically while participating in collegiate water polo.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude for your incredible support. Your contribution plays a pivotal role in nurturing a culture of academic achievement and holistic development within the Women’s Water Polo program.
Thank you for being a vital part of our Spartan community! We are #AllSpartans!
