The Child and Adolescent Development (CHAD) Department at San José State University (SJSU) is committed to preparing students to make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, youth, and families. Our goal is to equip future professionals with the knowledge, skills, and empathy needed to support positive development in diverse communities. By combining rigorous academic training with hands-on experience, we foster leaders who will shape the future of education, health, and social services.
We are raising funds to enhance student community learning opportunities, increase community engagement, and support professional development programs that expand our impact. We hope to fund scholarships for TB testing and LiveScan services, establish internships, and host community events that connect our students and faculty with local organizations for research and job placements. This campaign aims to build on that success by providing additional resources for innovative projects, mentorship programs, and research initiatives, ensuring that every student has the tools they need to thrive and contribute effectively to the field.

As a donor, your support is vital to achieving our mission. By contributing to this campaign, you can help with funding for deserving students, fund critical community outreach projects, and support professional development opportunities that prepare our students to make a difference. Your investment in the SJSU CHAD Department is an investment in the future of children and families in our community and beyond. Together, we can create a brighter future for all.
