CED is a student-led conference dedicated to empowering and inspiring individuals from all backgrounds in STEM. Our goal is to create a space where students can grow through professional development, meaningful conversations, and strong community connections.
At CED, participants from SJSU, other universities, and community colleges engage in hands-on workshops, connect with leading companies and innovators, and build networks that can shape their future careers. But beyond professional growth, CED is about rising together to shape the future.
By bringing together students, industry leaders, and educators, CED highlights the role each of us plays in advancing engineering and science. Ultimately, we’re preparing the next generation of innovators to thrive in Silicon Valley and beyond.

It also helps make the conference more accessible by supporting event logistics, materials, and student participation. Every contribution moves us closer to building a space where students can learn, grow, and form lasting professional connections. Ultimately, the goal ensures that CED can continue empowering the next generation of engineers and innovators. Funding also reduces the financial burden for those attending by allowing free entry, breakfast, lunch, merch items, and inspiring speakers.
