Who Are We?
The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at San José State University is dedicated to empowering women to achieve their fullest potential as engineers and leaders. We provide opportunities for professional development, community building, and STEM outreach, while inspiring future generations of women to pursue engineering careers. Our mission is to foster an inclusive environment that celebrates diversity, innovation, and excellence.
Why Are We Raising Money?
Your support is vital to the success of our organization. Donations enable us to host impactful events such as our biannual Evening with Industry, leadership development workshops, and the annual WOW! That’s Engineering conference, which inspires high school girls to explore STEM fields. Past donations have funded attendance at national SWE conferences, outreach events with community colleges, and our 10-week Python program, SWE++. This campaign will allow us to expand these efforts, reach new audiences, and provide even more opportunities for growth and empowerment.
