The Professional Asian Pilots Association (PAPA) at San Jose State University is preparing for our most significant professional milestone of the year: the PAPA Expo in Las Vegas this June. Our chapter is dedicated to addressing the pilot shortage by empowering students from underrepresented backgrounds with the tools, networks, and confidence required to excel in the flight deck. By attending this Expo, our members will have the opportunity to participate in technical workshops, meet with chief pilots from major airlines, and represent the Spartan spirit on a national stage. We are currently seeking donations to help offset the costs of registration and travel for our high student members. We invite you to be a part of this journey.

The Professional Asian Pilot’s Association chapter at San Jose State University began in the Spring 2026 semester with the goal of empowering and supporting aviation students in the school’s Asian community and beyond. Through informative and interactive social events, networking opportunities, and career-building exercises, we have built a small yet tight-knit group of students who are dedicated to the strength found through diversity in the aviation industry. Your support will help us expand this community, ensuring that every aspiring pilot at SJSU has the resources and representation needed to launch a successful career in aviation.
