Matched and surpassed—now let’s expand the impact.
Digital Scholarship Fellows are the heart of the King Library Digital Humanities Center. These paid fellowships provide SJSU undergraduate and graduate students with unique opportunities to conduct original research, explore emerging technologies, and share their knowledge with others.
Since the program’s launch in 2024, digital scholarship fellows have:
- Curated cutting-edge exhibits of student art using AR and other technologies
- Developed and taught public workshops
- Conducted original research on how libraries can use AI to make materials more accessible to visually-impaired users
- Developed software to enable creators to build digital humanities projects with minimal resources
We need your support to continue and grow this program. SJSU students are exceptionally talented and motivated, and these kinds of opportunities create a space for exciting, student-driven research, public programming, and software development. Digital Scholarship Fellows are central to the success of the Digital Humanities Center, but more importantly we believe this rich experience sets the participating students up for even greater success as they prepare for careers beyond SJSU.
