As Associated Students (A.S.) celebrates 130 years of serving as the official voice of Spartans at San José State University, we are marking this milestone by raising funds to strengthen the support we provide students every day. In honor of our 130th anniversary, we aim to raise $3K for our Affordable Book Voucher Program and A.S. Scholarships.
With a majority of our students relying on financial aid, many turn to A.S. for support where their aid may not reach. Our Affordable Book Voucher Program provides a $200 voucher for textbooks and school supplies at the Spartan Bookstore to students who receive financial aid grants. Each semester, these vouchers run out within 10 minutes, highlighting just how critical this resource is. In addition, A.S. Scholarships award between $750 and $1,500 to help make education more affordable.
By investing in scholarships and book vouchers during our 130th year, we can expand our impact and continue our mission of ensuring every Spartan gets the most out of their college experience.
