The Native American Indigenous Student Success Center (NAISSC) at San José State University promotes cultural, ancestral, and community relations as key elements that advance Indigenous student success through offered programs and services.
NAISSC was established through student advocacy led by the Native American Student Organization (NASO) to provide holistic support for Native students at SJSU, ranging from academic support services to hosting cultural events, and much more. Events and services are carried throughout the academic year, and are grounded in affirming Indigenous knowledge, strength, resilience, and cultural pride.
During 1857 Minutes of Giving, we are raising funds to directly support student retention initiatives, leadership development programs, mentorship opportunities, and community-centered events that celebrate Indigeneity, strengthen belonging, and promote academic success. Your generous donation will also support our Year-End Celebration, including providing cultural stoles that honor students’ journeys and achievements, and serve as powerful reminders of the love, pride, and support carried from family, friends, and the larger community.
