For more than 20 years, Spartan Racing Baja has brought SJSU students together to build an off-road race vehicle. Today we have 100+ members from many majors and backgrounds, united by a love of engineering.
Our momentum is real. In just two years, we climbed 27 places at competition, from 56th to 29th. This season we are aiming to break into the top 20.
Your gift goes to our chassis team, 19 students who design it in CAD, weld it, and coordinate with every other sub-team. Funding lets them buy high-quality materials and build a chassis that is sturdier and safer than last year's, so our drivers are better protected on the course.
Every gift also helps students take part regardless of their financial background. The hands-on work our members do here helps them stand out for internships and careers, and our members have gone on to work at companies like Rivian, Joby, Teradyne, and Tesla.
