DECA at SJSU gives Spartans a chance to test their business skills on a bigger stage. Through Collegiate DECA, our members compete in business events, attend career conferences and build professional networks while they're still in school.
Collegiate DECA has chapters on nearly 200 college and university campuses, and members compete in 25 business-focused events. This year we want to send our competitors to state and international competitions.
Competing comes with real costs. Registration, travel and professional attire can keep a talented student from going at all.
Your gift helps more Spartans compete. The largest share, 40%, covers competition and conference registration. Another 30% helps with travel, and 15% goes to professional attire and DECA blazers. The rest supports career-development events, chapter programming and competition materials.
Our goal is $3,000, and our stretch goal is $4,500, which would help us send more competitors. Every student we bring builds real-world skills and represents San José State beyond campus. Give by December 1!
