Support SJSU IBA's International Business Student Outreach

At our recent Fork n' Film night, about 55 students watched the Japanese film Ponyo while building their own ramen bowls inspired by the movie. Students from different majors and backgrounds relaxed and got to know each other, and some of those classmates will become friends and professional connections long after graduation.

That night showed how much the International Business Association has grown. This semester we made a bold decision to eliminate our club fees so any student curious about global business could join. Since then, our event attendance has doubled. Without dues, though, our events run on a very small budget.

Your gift keeps IBA affordable and open to everyone. Most of it covers food and equipment for our events, and the rest goes to appreciation gifts and parking for guest speakers, plus a little marketing. Next, we want to host an international etiquette dinner on how business deals happen over a meal in another country, along with tours of local companies with international operations.

Our goal is $1,500, and our stretch goal is $2,250, which would let us host even more of these events. Every gift helps a classmate build a network for a career in an international economy. Give by December 1!
