Send More SJSU Women Engineers to Conferences

One of the 16 students we sponsored this year is Sarah, a first-time attendee at the WE National Conference. We want many more members like Sarah, with the drive and curiosity to leave their first conference thinking, "I know I belong in engineering."

The Society of Women Engineers (SWE) at SJSU has over 400 members, but our budget lets us sponsor only a fraction of them for the conferences that shape their careers. Our board alone has about 70 members, and this year we could sponsor 16. That is under 4% of our total membership. Every student we can't sponsor misses the chance to meet mentors and interview with employers.

Your gift helps us sponsor more students at WE National, especially first-time attendees like Sarah, and bring more members to WE Local, a strong foundation for anyone new to SWE. It also keeps programs like our Evening with Industry and our leadership workshops going strong.

Our goal is $2,000, and our stretch goal is $2,500 to sponsor even more members. Every gift helps bring more women in engineering into the rooms where they can learn and lead. Give by December 1!
