Fund SJSU Nursing's Spring 2027 Pinning Ceremony

We are the Valley Foundation School of Nursing Class of Spring 2027 at SJSU. Our cohort has logged thousands of clinical hours across Bay Area hospitals, caring for patients in critical care, pediatrics, emergency medicine and community health settings. We share one goal: bringing skilled, compassionate care to our local and global communities.

The Pinning Ceremony is a nursing tradition that dates back to Florence Nightingale. It marks our passage from student clinicians to professional nurses, and it is where we publicly dedicate ourselves to the highest standards of patient care and advocacy.

The cost of hosting the ceremony falls on us as students. Between clinical rotations and full-time coursework, our class has already raised 60% of our ceremony budget through our own fundraising. We want every classmate to walk across that stage, whatever their personal finances.

Most of your gift goes toward securing our venue, and the rest covers our official nursing pins and regalia along with other ceremony costs. Our goal is $4,000, and our stretch goal is $5,000, which would cover more of the ceremony costs still ahead of us.

When we step onto that stage to receive our pins, we celebrate the family and friends who helped us get there. Give by December 1!
