Since 2011, the SJSU Latino Alumni Network (LAN) has been building the Spartan FAMILIA: a community where Latino students and alumni show up for each other.
Latino students make up over 28% of SJSU's campus community, and many face real financial pressure that forces them to work long hours, delay graduation, or risk leaving college. Alongside our renewable $1,000 scholarships, LAN gives students something just as important: alumni who once walked the same campus and want to help them finish strong.
That happens at our signature programs. At Cafecito Career Chats, students and alumni sit down over coffee and conversation. Our Career Success Summit brings workshops and speakers focused on professional skills. And our annual Legacy Dinner brings the community together to celebrate our cultural traditions.
This Spartan Sprint, your gift funds these programs directly: the Cafecito chats, the workshops and speakers, and the Legacy Dinner itself.
