Every contribution brings SJSU's Formula SAE team closer to the track.
Spartan Racing is a team of SJSU engineering students who design, build, test, and race a formula-style car. It's much more than a competition: students apply mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, and systems engineering under real constraints, solve complex problems under pressure, and learn from failure. These are the skills the automotive, aerospace, robotics, and tech industries expect.
We're proud to represent the College of Engineering and SJSU's tradition of Silicon Valley innovation, and we're working to compete among the top Formula SAE teams in the nation. But specialized materials, components, manufacturing, and testing add up fast. Without enough funding, we may have to cut testing, delay production, or scale back our design.
Our $7,000 goal will buy essential materials, manufacture critical components, and fund the testing days that help us push the car further before competition.
